Ogre Paint!!!

I'm painting this guy to help me build up to more finished paintings. Lots of sit downs with this one to work it and figure out fine tuning. I really like sketches and rough stuff. Time to go cleaner just to build the skills. Steph

Blade Study

I watched a sweet DVD, http://www.reelideas.com/drew/ and I got to say that I think it'll help with my understanding of light, shadow, and colour. I will work on my draftsmanship so I can really use the techniques in the DVD as effectively as possible. You ever have that feeling that you just wanna draw Blade??? Steph

Vamp Girl

It's been a while since my last post. I hope to put up more sketchy stuff soon. I really like drawing rough stuff but I want to learn more about clean up. So an adventure awaits of learning!!! It's almost Hallowe'en. Do you know what you'll be this year? Steph

More Vampire

Cooled down from a day of school with this. Added some more. Need to really clean up some of it. Next picture will have more of a bg incorporated. I'm not digging the block of black in the bg. Oh well. Good night!

Peterborough Bus People

I will admit that there was much more colourful characters than these two at the bus stop, which I may draw at a later date, but I noticed the difference of where their weight was centred between these two guys. One felt very in the waist/hip while the other felt very in the chest/shoulder area. It got me thinking about shape weight on characters and how subtle the changes make different characters. The difference in clothes helped too but I will play with more overall shape changes to see how it creates more variety. Hope you're having a great summer! Steph

Life Drawing Update

I've really enjoyed going back to school for illustration. I've had some more time to learn more about the human figure. Light and composition. I will also take time to update more to get into a rhythm. Hope you're all having a good summer! Steph

Goblin Final!
