I saw this guy sleeping and had to draw him.
Ball point pen for 5 minutes.
Hope y'all had a wonderful summer. I'm looking forward to getting into cozy comforters for the coming fall and winter. I find it much easier to sleep when it's cold out.
Might just be me,
Steph
I was watching a lot of an anime called Trinity Blood and reading Henrich Kley and Ian McCaig. Those are some pretty sweet artist. If you have time you should look them up.
Have a wonderbar day. Or just eat a Wonderbar. They're delicious. Unless you're allergic to peanuts/nuts. Then I would advise against it.
I've been trying to figure (haha, pun...) out light and how it affects the human figure. I think it's getting better. Soon I hope to be able to do the whole figure in light and shadow.
These were both 20 minutes with brown conte.
Summers almost up and hoping to finish with a bang!!
Jackie Chan is pretty cool. At least I think he is. I remember watching "Rumble in the Bronx" a lot with my dad. Good memories. So when I had to paint a face for digital painting class I did Jackie. I also figured out I really like the square brush more than the round brushes.
I was practicing painting without any beginning line work. I like it but I don't like the colours so far. I want to try playing with hot/cold more. Hopefully an update one day.
Hello ya'll. A re-paint of an old Danko Jones portrait I did from his "Kiss on the First Date" music video. I like where it's going. I think I'm gonna go further with it at a later date.
This is my cat's skull. He was old but he still had all of his teeth after being "Wernerized". My anatomy/life drawing teacher has connection to get animals' skeletonized. It was sure nice of him to get this done for me and my sister.
I felt like finishing something. I'm planning on giving it to a fan. I hope it holds up to their love of them. I really started to miss my ink pen and brush. I think I'll make a habit of these!
I never really got into shading and understanding how light works on planes. I'm gonna try and figure it out this summer. I wonder what my self portrait will look like at the end of August.
This was done when I was home in Peterborough. My dog Marc was sleeping with his head on my leg. I kind of miss him, but Muzza my cat is making sure that give her attention. Her head is on my head as I'm typing. Silly Muzza.
Hey there! I did a study of a lamb skull a while back. It's ball point pen on layout paper. I liked the turn out of it. The other stuff is just playing around. The human skull is drawn from a book and the other stuff is from my imagination.
Hey y'all. This is two posts in a row. Within a month this could almost be a serious habit...
This is a drawing I did one night. It's a viking walking through a tunnel. I'm thinking of going over it and fixing all the stuff up. Traditionally inking it then colouring it digitally. Woop woop! Big plans.
