Self Portrait-Light Study

I never really got into shading and understanding how light works on planes. I'm gonna try and figure it out this summer. I wonder what my self portrait will look like at the end of August.

Marc again!

This was done when I was home in Peterborough. My dog Marc was sleeping with his head on my leg. I kind of miss him, but Muzza my cat is making sure that give her attention. Her head is on my head as I'm typing. Silly Muzza.

GOAT MAN!!!

I've always liked satyrs. Probably has something to do with the horns. You can draw the really curly horns with these guys!

I'm starting to run out of stuff from the school year. Gonna have to draw some new stuff if I want to post once a day. Wonder what it'll be.

Skulls and Things!

Hey there! I did a study of a lamb skull a while back. It's ball point pen on layout paper. I liked the turn out of it. The other stuff is just playing around. The human skull is drawn from a book and the other stuff is from my imagination.

Viking In a Tunnel

Hey y'all. This is two posts in a row. Within a month this could almost be a serious habit...

This is a drawing I did one night. It's a viking walking through a tunnel. I'm thinking of going over it and fixing all the stuff up. Traditionally inking it then colouring it digitally. Woop woop! Big plans.

New Stuff!

Here's some new stuff. I'm gonna try and do an upload a day. Lots of life drawing coming this way!

SENECA STUFF

The past bit of the semester I've been working on digital painting. I think I'm finally understanding how to draw with a tablet without it feeling weird. I still need to work on going in and tighten up edges. I've realized that I need at least a day to see where I need to clarify and tighten. Something I'm gonna work towards.


Colours are also something I don't do enough. There's a great book by Marco Bucci that I like to look at. It helps me look at light and colour differently than before. I'll eventually break that code.
